Pawprint Studio’s free-to-play, open-world creature-catching role-playing game Aniimo has arrived on NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud-gaming service at launch, NVIDIA said on September 17, 2026. The weekly update also brings 10 other games to the service and adds path tracing to 007 First Light.
Aniimo comes to the cloud at launch
In Aniimo, players explore the continent of Idyll and capture creatures called Aniimo. Each creature can become a companion. Players catch them with Aniipods, then “Twine” with them to take on their forms and use their individual abilities to solve puzzles, win battles and overcome environmental challenges.
The game includes movement across Idyll by gliding, diving and burrowing. Players can also return to a personal recreational vehicle and build a custom Homeland with their Aniimo companions.
Because the game is being streamed through GeForce NOW, NVIDIA says it can be played on a Steam Deck, through the newly supported Firefox browser and on other supported devices without waiting for its 45GB download or reserving equivalent local storage. In cloud gaming, the game runs on remote computing hardware while the player receives a streamed video feed and sends controls back over the internet.
NVIDIA describes Aniimo as a new release on Steam dated September 15. GeForce NOW availability can vary by title because games are onboarded after their store releases and added throughout the week.
More games join the weekly lineup
Gaijin Network’s Active Matter is also available on GeForce NOW. The military action game is set in a fractured multiverse, where players operate inside a time loop, search for loot, confront opponents from other timelines and escape before a zone collapses.
Annapurna Interactive’s Outer Wilds has joined the library as well. It follows a recruit investigating a strange solar system caught in an endless time loop, with discoveries involving alien writing, mysterious signals and locations that change or disappear as the loop progresses.

The store-release dates listed by NVIDIA indicate when the games launched on their respective storefronts. They are separate from the timing of their availability on GeForce NOW.
007 First Light adds path tracing
007 First Light has received a path-tracing update on GeForce NOW. Path tracing is a demanding lighting technique that simulates how light can travel and interact with surfaces, helping create more detailed illumination, shadows and reflections.
NVIDIA says the update is paired with DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, which is intended to improve the clarity and accuracy of ray-traced effects. Subscribers to the Ultimate tier can stream the game with GeForce RTX 5080-class performance, with support for up to 5K high-dynamic-range streaming, according to NVIDIA. The company also lists DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Dynamic Frame Generation as part of the cloud-streaming experience.
A limited-time Deluxe Edition sale for 007 First Light is scheduled for Steam from September 15 to 29 and the Epic Games Store from September 3 to 18, according to the announcement.
