What ASUS is showing
ASUS announced on September 11 that it will showcase a broad ProArt creator lineup at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam from September 11 to 14. The presentation is scheduled for the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, Booth Hall 11, B36.
The announcement covers more than one product launch. ASUS is presenting a connected range of creator hardware that includes:
- ProArt laptops and a tablet;
- compact Windows desktops;
- an external GPU;
- professional OLED and SDI-equipped displays;
- multi-GPU workstations;
- graphics cards and motherboards; and
- software for accessing AI models and generated assets.
The planned demonstrations span local AI inference, image generation, model adaptation, 3D rendering, 4K and 12K video editing, and professional video monitoring. IBC is aimed at broadcasters, content owners, solution providers and creative-technology professionals, making the event a relevant setting for this combination of computing and production equipment.

Local AI across laptops and compact systems
ASUS says the ProArt P16 and P14 RTX Spark are Windows creator laptops designed for personal AI-agent workflows. The company lists up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of AI performance for the platform.
The stated use cases include LoRA training, large-language-model use, AI concept generation, automated rotoscoping, 3D project rendering, 4K generative video and 12K 4:2:2 video editing. LoRA, or low-rank adaptation, is a parameter-efficient approach to adapting a large model by training a smaller set of additional parameters instead of changing every original model parameter.
ASUS also describes the P16 and P14 RTX Spark as using Lumina Pro OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. The announcement separately lists a ProArt P16 configuration with a GeForce RTX 5090, the convertible ProArt PX13 with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, and the ProArt PZ14 tablet with Snapdragon X2 Elite AI performance.
The compact ProArt GR1X takes a different approach. ASUS describes it as a Windows desktop measuring 150 × 150 × 51 mm, with up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance. It is intended to run large AI models, agents and creative workloads locally, while supporting up to four 4K displays.
FP4 means four-bit floating-point computation. A peak performance figure expressed in FP4 is a theoretical hardware metric; it does not by itself show how quickly a particular model, video application or image-generation workflow will run.
The lineup therefore covers several usage patterns: portable computers for creators who need mobility, a small desktop for a more permanent local-AI setup, and higher-powered systems for sustained professional workloads.
Displays for colour-critical and video work
ASUS is also announcing displays aimed at different parts of the production workflow.
The ProArt Display OLED PA27UCDV is a 26.5-inch 4K HDR QD-OLED monitor. ASUS lists up to 1,000 nits peak brightness, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, Delta E below 1 and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The monitor also has dual Thunderbolt 4 ports with up to 140W power delivery. QD-OLED combines an OLED light source with quantum-dot colour conversion. OLED pixels generate their own light, allowing individual pixel control and generally high contrast.
For professional video production, ASUS lists the PA27USD and PA32USD. Both are described as 4K HDR QD-OLED monitors with 1,000-nit brightness, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, motorised calibration and a 240Hz refresh rate.
Their main distinction is production connectivity. The PA27USD has 12G-SDI, while the PA32USD has two 12G-SDI ports. Serial digital interface, or SDI, is a professional video connection commonly used to carry high-bandwidth, typically uncompressed video signals through production infrastructure.
That makes these models different from general-purpose creator monitors. The advertised feature set combines OLED image quality and calibration with connections intended for professional video signal chains. The announcement does not provide independent measurements of response time, calibration performance or sustained brightness.
Workstations, graphics and software
At the workstation end, ASUS says it will demonstrate the ExpertCenter Pro ET900A X9 with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX 96-core processor, one NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q GPU and two NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell 72GB GPUs.
The ExpertCenter Pro ET500I W8 is described as an on-premises AI-inference platform paired with ASUS's UGen Intel Arc Pro B70 32GB accelerator. ASUS positions the system for local deployment of language models, AI agents and content-creation applications rather than relying entirely on remote services.
For users who already have a compatible laptop, ASUS will demonstrate the XG Core external GPU with a Zenbook 14 over a single USB4-compliant USB Type-C cable. The XG Core is described as using an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT LP GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM in a 144 × 117 × 39 mm enclosure. ASUS says it supports local AI image generation and large-language-model inference through tools including ComfyUI, LM Studio and Ollama.
An external GPU can give a thin laptop or small computer access to a separate graphics processor outside its built-in chassis. Its practical value depends on application support, drivers and the effective bandwidth of the connection, not only on the graphics processor's specifications.
ASUS also lists a ProArt GeForce RTX 5090 with a 2.5-slot design, 32GB of GDDR7 memory, a double-flow-through cooling design, liquid-metal thermal compound and a vapour chamber. The motherboard range includes the ProArt X870E-Creator WiFi, ProArt Z890-Creator WiFi and ProArt B850-Creator WiFi Neo, alongside Pro WS boards for Intel Xeon, AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro and Threadripper platforms.
The software layer is represented by MuseCore. ASUS says it can provide remote access to a ProArt RTX 5090 PC, discover AI models from Hugging Face and CivitAI, run models through ComfyUI or Stable Diffusion, and catalogue generated assets in a gallery.
