Summary

Honda’s EICMA 2026 lineup includes redesigned Africa Twin and Fireblade motorcycles, its first electric-assist mountain bike, and a planned-production V3R 900 E-Compressor. The company also showed electric and styling concepts for the European motorcycle market.

Honda has announced a wide-ranging lineup for EICMA 2026 in Milan, including world premieres of redesigned Africa Twin and CBR1000RR-R Fireblade series, its first electric-assist mountain bike and a planned-production motorcycle with an electronically controlled compressor. The exhibits cover motorcycles for the European market as well as concepts that point towards other possible designs and powertrains.

The Milan show’s press days are November 3–4, with public days from November 5–8. Honda’s announcement describes the lineup as a mix of concepts, planned production models and 2027 motorcycles for Europe.

Redesigned Africa Twin and Fireblade ranges

The CRF1150L Africa Twin series is fully redesigned and now includes three variants: the Africa Twin, Africa Twin Adventure Sports and new Africa Twin Enduro Sports, which Honda says is intended to offer enhanced off-road performance. The series has increased engine displacement, while weight-reduction measures and a lower centre of gravity are intended to improve handling and overall balance. Honda says the lower centre of gravity is achieved in part by splitting the fuel tank and placing some of it beneath the seat.

The Africa Twin Adventure Sports is the first Honda motorcycle to feature Honda SENSING RIDE, a newly developed advanced rider-assistance system. The announcement does not describe the system’s individual functions.

The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade range also makes its world premiere as a fully redesigned series, with the Fireblade, Fireblade SP and new Fireblade HRC Works Edition. Honda says about 75% of the components are newly designed, including the aluminium twin-tube frame and swingarm. Its power unit introduces a two-stage variable-length intake-air funnel system, which Honda identifies as a first for a mass-produced Honda motorcycle.

New electric and assisted-riding directions

The Honda RN0 is the company’s first electric-assist mountain bike and was jointly developed with high-end e-MTB manufacturer ROTWILD. It uses a carbon monocoque frame, a gull-arm swingarm and an electronically controlled electric-assist drive unit. As an electric-assist bicycle, it is distinct from a fully electric motorcycle: its stated purpose is to support mountain-bike riding.

Honda is also exhibiting the V3R 900 E-Compressor as a planned production model. It combines a V-type three-cylinder engine with what Honda describes, based on its own research, as the world’s first electronically controlled compressor for a motorcycle. The model also has a titanium fuel tank, exhaust pipes and muffler, and an updated Honda RoadSync system with a revised interface and AI-powered voice controls.

The EV OUTLIER Concept uses in-wheel motors at both ends. Honda presents it as a proposed direction for motorcycles from 2030 onward, rather than as a production model. Other exhibits include the ADV125 commuter, with a 125 cc eSP+ engine and a 5-inch colour TFT display, and the CBR500R FOUR, shown in Europe for the first time and equipped with Honda’s E-Clutch automatic clutch-control system.
