Lenovo has announced the Googlebook 15, its first laptop under the Googlebook name. The company combines Google’s computing and Gemini experiences with a 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor and a chassis weighing from 1.29kg. Lenovo says the laptop will be available starting October 4, 2026, at a starting price of $1,099.99.

Display, hardware and portability

The 16:10 display has a resolution of 2880 × 1800, a 120Hz maximum refresh rate, 500-nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. Lenovo also specifies a haptic touchpad, four speakers with Dolby Atmos, a backlit keyboard and a 5-megapixel webcam with a physical shutter. Sign-in options include a fingerprint reader and facial authentication.

Configurations listed by Lenovo include 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x memory and 256GB or 512GB of SSD storage. The laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port and an audio combination jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.

Lenovo lists a 70Wh battery and claims up to 12.5 hours of battery life. That figure is based on the company’s internal testing under optimal laboratory and network conditions; actual runtime varies with configuration, settings and use. Lenovo also describes the laptop as the lightest 15-inch device in its own portfolio, with a starting weight under 3lb.

Gemini features and launch details

The company says the Googlebook 15 delivers up to 47 TOPS of performance. TOPS—trillions of operations per second—is a measure of processing throughput; the announcement does not specify a workload or test method for this figure.

Lenovo highlights two Gemini-related tools. Magic Pointer can be activated by moving the cursor, then used for actions such as turning two images into a poster or adding a date to a calendar. Rambler is a dictation feature that Lenovo says can remove filler words and apply formatting to spoken text, including when a speaker switches languages mid-sentence. Both features have eligibility, language or availability conditions; Lenovo advises users to check Gemini responses.

The laptop is also designed to sync with Android devices so users can access apps and files from a connected phone. Lenovo says the package includes 12 months of Google AI Pro, with expanded Gemini app features and 5TB of cloud storage. The trial is limited to eligible users in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States, and requires an eligible purchase and activation. After the trial, the listed subscription price is $19.99 per month or the then-current fee, subject to the offer terms.

The announced US starting price is $1,099.99. Lenovo notes that prices may exclude tax and shipping, reseller prices can differ, and availability and configurations may vary by geography. The company has not specified a market-wide rollout schedule in its announcement.
