Lenovo expands hybrid-AI portfolio across PCs, phones, enterprise systems and wearables
Lenovo announced a broad hybrid-AI portfolio at Lenovo Innovation World during IFA 2026 in Berlin on 3 September. The announcement covers new Yoga and Idea computers, Think business systems and security products, Motorola phones and wearables, an expansion of the Lenovo and Motorola Qira platform, and two mobile-computing concepts.
The company is positioning the portfolio around a combination of personal AI across multiple devices and enterprise AI that processes data across devices, the edge and the cloud. However, Lenovo has not disclosed the precise AI models, workload split, data-retention practices or performance results behind Qira.

Qira expands across devices and services
Lenovo and Motorola are expanding Qira to more eligible personal computers, Motorola devices, applications and services. Lenovo says eligible PCs with 16GB of memory will gain Qira support beyond higher-memory configurations. The company also expects eligible Edge, Razr and Signature devices to gain Motorola Qira as they receive the Android 17 upgrade.
The moto watch ultra is described as the first Motorola wearable to support Qira on compatible devices. Through a collaboration with Workato, supported Qira experiences are also expanding across Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Slack, Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar.
This is a shift from treating AI as a feature attached to one product. In Lenovo’s stated approach, a user’s AI experience can span a computer, phone, tablet, wearable and commonly used services. The practical value will therefore depend not only on device hardware but also on compatibility, software updates, accounts, supported applications and network access.
Lenovo describes its broader approach as “hybrid AI”: some processing can happen locally on a device, while other workloads can use computing at the edge or in the cloud. Local processing can reduce the need to send every task to a remote service, while edge and cloud systems can provide additional computing capacity. The announcement does not specify which Qira workloads run in each location.
Qira availability may vary by market, language, device configuration, software version and supported hardware. The supplied announcement also indicates that access may require a Motorola account and an active connection to a compatible device.
New personal and enterprise hardware
The new Yoga portfolio includes the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n, Lenovo Yoga 9n 2-in-1, Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2, Yoga Tab Gen 2 and the Lenovo Smart Canvas Concept.
Lenovo says the Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1 bring NVIDIA RTX Spark to its premium Yoga designs. The announcement identifies RTX Spark as part of the platform introduction but does not provide GPU specifications, power limits, benchmark results or a list of supported AI workloads. Independent testing will be needed to establish how these systems perform under sustained workloads.
The Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 and Yoga Tab Gen 2 extend what Lenovo calls a pen-first approach to Android tablets. The Smart Canvas Concept is intended to show how ideas could be captured and developed across compatible Lenovo devices using voice, pen, camera and touch. As a concept, it demonstrates a proposed interaction model rather than a confirmed retail product.
Lenovo’s Idea portfolio includes the IdeaPad Vibe series and the IdeaCentre AIO i. The company describes the IdeaPad Vibe range as offering seven colour options, flexible configurations and AI PC experiences. It calls the IdeaCentre AIO i a redesigned all-in-one desktop architecture for work, learning and entertainment.
An all-in-one desktop places the display and computer hardware in one enclosure, reducing the number of separate components compared with a conventional desktop setup. The announcement does not provide detailed configurations, prices or launch dates for either Idea product line.
For businesses, Lenovo announced the ThinkCentre X Ultra, ThinkCentre M75 Series, ThinkBook 14 Gen 9, ThinkBook 14x Gen 2, new ThinkVision displays and additional ThinkShield security offerings. Lenovo says the ThinkCentre X Ultra and ThinkCentre M75 Series provide scalable local-AI performance for different business environments.
The security portfolio includes ThinkShield TraceLock, powered by Absolute Security, and Prompt Security, a SentinelOne company. Lenovo presents these tools as supporting device visibility, control and responsible AI governance. TraceLock is compatible only with select ThinkPad X1, X and T-series devices with Absolute software bundles, according to the supplied limitations.
Together, the enterprise announcements cover more than computing hardware. Lenovo is combining local-AI systems with displays, device management and security tools aimed at organisations adopting AI at different stages.
Motorola products add phones, a watch and charging accessory
Motorola announced the motorola edge 70 plus, moto watch ultra, moto snap wireless charger and a motorola razr with Crystals by Swarovski.
Lenovo says the motorola edge 70 plus combines a quad-curved design, a 200MP camera system, a long-lasting battery and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform. The 200MP figure needs qualification: Lenovo’s footnote says the sensor combines 16 pixels into one, producing an effective photo resolution of 12.5MP.
Pixel binning combines signals from adjacent sensor pixels into a single output pixel. This reduces the output resolution but can improve signal collection in some lighting conditions. The stated 12.5MP output is therefore not equivalent to capturing a conventional 200MP image with 200 million independent output pixels.
The moto watch ultra includes Polar fitness and wellness insights, Wear OS by Google, LTE eSIM functionality and Qira support on compatible devices. The announcement provides no independent results for its wellness measurements or battery performance. LTE eSIM use may require a compatible carrier plan, incur carrier charges and be restricted by region.
The moto snap wireless charger supports wireless charging and magnetic-case compatibility for select devices. It requires a compatible magnetic charging case sold separately, and Motorola notes that using such a case may reduce charging speeds.
Two concepts explore new mobile-computing designs
Lenovo also presented two proof-of-concept designs.
Project AeroBlade Concept explores a thin, fanless mobile PC intended for sustained performance. A fanless computer dissipates heat without an active fan, which can reduce mechanical noise and moving parts but places greater demands on power management, thermal design and sustained-performance control.
Project Swan Concept explores a notebook that expands into a wider workspace. Lenovo has not provided technical specifications or a commercial launch commitment for either concept. They are best understood as demonstrations of design directions rather than announced retail products.
AeroBlade and Swan address different constraints in mobile computing: thermal management in a thin system and limited screen area during mobile work. Whether either approach can deliver practical benefits will depend on details such as performance under long workloads, weight, battery life, durability and price, none of which are established in the announcement.
