Summary
Lexus is expanding sales of its 20.63-metre LY 680 luxury yacht beyond Japan. The yacht is scheduled to be exhibited at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 28 to November 1, 2026.
Lexus said on September 25, 2026, that it is beginning overseas sales of the LY 680, its 20.63-metre luxury yacht. The model went on sale in Japan in 2024, and the completed yacht made its world debut in March 2026. Lexus plans to exhibit it at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida from October 28 to November 1, 2026.
The move takes Lexus’s yacht offering beyond Japan as part of the company’s broader effort to extend its mobility brand beyond cars. The announcement describes an expansion to global markets but does not name the countries or give market-specific sales dates.
A larger flybridge and extended swimming platform
The LY 680 is an evolution of the LY 650, Lexus’s first luxury yacht. The company says the newer model has a flybridge approximately 1,400 millimetres longer and a swimming platform extended by 700 millimetres. Lexus puts the yacht’s overall length at approximately 68 feet; its specifications list a length of 20.63 metres and a width of 5.76 metres.
The listed engine type is Volvo Penta IPS 1350/1050, with two units. The yacht has a 4,012-litre fuel tank and an 852-litre fresh-water tank. Its three cabins accommodate up to six guests, while the stated passenger capacity is 15.
Lexus describes the LY 680 as designed for stable handling, ride comfort and quietness. Those are the company’s stated aims for the cruising experience, alongside an exterior based on its L-finesse design philosophy and onboard spaces it says are crafted with attention to detail.
Lexus design, Horizon Group production
The yacht is produced by Horizon Group, which Lexus identifies as a partner with yacht-building and production expertise. Lexus is responsible for the design and overall experience; Horizon contributes its craftsmanship and manufacturing capabilities. The release also says the production approach draws on yacht-making methods adapted from the Toyota Production System.
The LY 680 follows Lexus’s earlier move into marine design: Toyota Marine and Lexus unveiled the Lexus Sport Yacht Concept in 2017, followed by the LY 650 announcement in 2019. Lexus presents the new model as part of a vision of mobility spanning land, sea and air. Its overseas sales expansion makes that marine programme available beyond its original Japanese market, while the announcement leaves the specific destinations for those sales open.
