Summary

Mercedes-Benz says three new S-Class sedans have travelled more than 50,000 kilometres across six continents and 140 locations. The convoy is now making a second crossing of Europe before returning to Stuttgart in October 2026.

Mercedes-Benz says three new S-Class sedans are nearing the end of a global journey covering more than 50,000 kilometres, six continents and 140 locations. The manufacturer describes the programme, titled “140 Years. 140 Places”, as part of its 140-year innovation anniversary.

In an update dated 18 September 2026, Mercedes-Benz said the convoy was making its second crossing of Europe. The current route includes stops in Turkey, Greece and Hungary, followed by the Baltic region, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. The vehicles are expected to return to Stuttgart in mid-October, with the worldwide journey ending there during October.

A global route for the new S-Class

The three cars began the journey after the world premiere of the new S-Class on 29 January 2026. Mercedes-Benz selected 140 destinations intended to represent the company’s history, pioneering work and global presence.

The route has included an initial European stage through countries including Switzerland, France, Spain and Belgium. The convoy then travelled through Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, followed by North America and Asia. The company also lists Australia and New Zealand, India, and African stages covering Kenya, Namibia and South Africa among the regions visited.

The itinerary places the new S-Class in settings connected with Mercedes-Benz’s past and present rather than limiting its introduction to a conventional launch event. The company says the route includes legendary roads, historical milestones and major cities.

Cars, communities and Mercedes-Benz history

At each stop, the new S-Class is being accompanied by historic cars, current production models and locally significant vehicles. Mercedes-Benz says the programme includes meetings with customers, Mercedes-Benz club members and fans, along with presentations and local community events.

That combination makes the journey both a vehicle introduction and a travelling display of the brand’s history. The new cars provide the contemporary focus, while older models and local vehicles connect each stop with a different part of Mercedes-Benz’s development and regional presence.

Mercedes-Benz says the tour can be followed through its Community Hub, social-media channels and YouTube. The company has assigned different hosts to several legs, including Callum Mullin for Europe, Karl Shakur for South America, Benjamin Ortega for North America, Tom Exton for Australia and Tucker Doss for India.

The final destination is Stuttgart, where Mercedes-Benz began its history. The company expects the convoy to complete its return there in October 2026.
