OPPO's Watch X2 Mini is a compact Wear OS smartwatch with a 1.32-inch design, running and wellness features, Google app support and a hybrid two-chip architecture. OPPO claims up to 60 hours of battery life in Smart Mode or up to seven days in Power Saver Mode, but those figures come from specified laboratory usage scenarios rather than unrestricted real-world use.

What the Watch X2 Mini includes

The Watch X2 Mini has a 1.32-inch diameter. OPPO lists two finishes with different materials:

  • Glimmer Gold: an 18K gold-plated stainless-steel case, crown and buckle, with a genuine-leather strap.
  • Nebula Black: a stainless-steel case, crown and buckle without the 18K gold plating, with a fluoroelastomer strap.

The material choice affects how the watch can be used. OPPO says the Glimmer Gold leather strap should be kept dry and must not be used while bathing or swimming, even though the watch itself has IP68 dust and water resistance and a 5 ATM rating.

IP68 covers dust protection and resistance to temporary freshwater submersion under specified test conditions. A 5 ATM rating represents pressure equivalent to a 50-metre water column in laboratory testing. Neither rating means that every form of water exposure is suitable. OPPO advises against seawater, hot-water showers, saunas, hot springs, deep diving and diving.

Running, workouts and health features

The Watch X2 Mini's fitness functions extend beyond basic step counting. OPPO's Pro Running Mode records and analyses metrics including:

  • ground contact time;
  • vertical oscillation; and
  • stride balance.

These measurements can provide more detailed running information, but OPPO's supplied product material does not provide independent validation of the metrics' accuracy.

The watch supports more than 100 workout types, according to OPPO. That total includes customised workouts added by the user. Eleven workout types are described as having algorithm support. Listed specialised modes include badminton, tennis and pool swimming, with the product page describing sport-specific metrics for those activities.

Health-related features include heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen readings, sleep tracking, stress-related tracking based on heart-rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate, breathing exercises and cycle tracking. OPPO also says the watch can issue high- and low-heart-rate notifications and low-blood-oxygen notifications.

These functions are presented as general wellness and fitness tools, not medical services. OPPO explicitly says the watch is not a medical device and that its health measurements are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent medical conditions. The product page does not provide independent clinical validation or detailed accuracy data for the heart-rate or blood-oxygen functions.

Cycle prediction is also conditional rather than a direct measurement of future events. OPPO says it uses dates entered by the user and historical data, and is intended for users with regular cycles under the conditions described on the product page. The resulting estimates may differ from actual outcomes.

Wear OS, compatibility and battery

The watch runs Wear OS by Google, Google's smartwatch operating system for compatible applications and services. OPPO lists support for Google Maps, Google Wallet, Google Play, notifications, calls, messages and music controls.

The presence of a Google service on the watch does not establish that it will be available in every country. OPPO notes that Google Wallet availability depends on the country, region and device.

Some connected features are restricted by phone brand and software version. Camera remote control is limited to OPPO and OnePlus phones running ColorOS 15.0 or OxygenOS 15 or later. Short-video playback control is also limited to OPPO and OnePlus phones with the latest ColorOS 15 or OxygenOS 15; the product page says the function is not available for other brands.

The Watch X2 Mini uses a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip alongside a BES2800BP chip in what OPPO describes as a hybrid dual-engine architecture. The product material presents this design as combining Snapdragon-based performance and connectivity with a second chip intended to reduce power use. It does not provide battery capacity in milliampere-hours.

OPPO claims:

  • up to 60 hours of battery life in Smart Mode;
  • up to seven days in Power Saver Mode; and
  • up to one day of use after 10 minutes of VOOC Flash Charging under the stated usage or test conditions.

The Smart Mode, Power Saver and fast-charging figures are OPPO claims based on specified usage or laboratory conditions. Actual results can vary with usage, environment and other factors.

Limits and what remains unknown

The Watch X2 Mini is compatible with Android 9.0 or later with the specified version of Google Mobile Services. It does not support iPhones or Android Go devices. Buyers therefore need to check both the phone's operating system and the availability of Google services in their market.

The available evidence is primarily OPPO's own product documentation. It establishes the watch's listed features, materials, compatibility requirements and the conditions attached to its battery and water-resistance claims.
