Samsung says its Galaxy A08 is available in India for ₹18,499 in a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration. The phone pairs a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 6,000mAh battery, and runs One UI 9, which brings selected AI-assisted features including Circle to Search 3.0.
Performance, display and cameras
The A08 uses MediaTek’s Helio G99+ chipset. Samsung reports performance gains over the Galaxy A06 of up to 84% in single-core CPU performance, 43% in multi-core CPU performance and 60% in GPU performance. Those are company-stated comparisons with the previous model; Samsung presents them as improvements for activities such as app use, streaming and casual gaming.
The phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable by up to 2TB with a microSD card. Samsung’s RAM Plus feature lets users allocate part of the internal storage as virtual memory. The display is a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Its screen uses Gorilla Glass 5, and the rear panel is made from glass-fibre-reinforced polymer. The device is 8mm thick and has an IP64 rating.
The rear camera system combines a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Samsung says the depth camera helps separate portrait subjects from the background. An 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies and video calls.
AI features, battery and support
With One UI 9, the A08 supports Circle to Search 3.0, which lets users circle screen content to search for information. Samsung also lists access to Gemini and Perplexity through voice commands or a long press of the power button. Quick Share and Modes and Routines are among the other Galaxy ecosystem features included.
Samsung rates the battery at 6,000mAh and says the A08 offers 22% longer video playback than the Galaxy A06. It supports 25W charging. The company says the phone will receive six major OS upgrades and six years of security updates, a support commitment that could help keep the device current for longer.
Samsung lists the Galaxy A08 in Dark Blue, Silver and Green. The 4GB/64GB model is priced at ₹18,499 and is available through Samsung Exclusive Stores, partner stores, Samsung.com and other online platforms. Samsung also lists payment plans, including zero-interest EMI options of up to six months on bank cards and up to nine months through NBFC partners.
