Samsung has announced the Galaxy S26 FE, the newest member of the Galaxy S26 family, and confirmed that sales in India are scheduled to begin on 18 September 2026.
Samsung's India materials reviewed by Khabre do not yet publish an India price, so this article does not infer one from another market or from third-party listings.
India launch date
Samsung India's official Galaxy event page says the Galaxy S26 FE sale goes live on 18 September 2026.
Samsung's broader launch announcement says the phone became available from 4 September in select markets, but that date should not be treated as the India launch date because Samsung has separately published the later India sale date.
India price is not yet available
As of 5 September 2026, Samsung's official India announcement and event page reviewed by Khabre do not provide an India retail price for the Galaxy S26 FE.
That is important because prices reported for another country cannot be converted into an assumed Indian launch price. Khabre will update the article when Samsung publishes official India pricing.
Core specifications
Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900 nits brightness.
The phone weighs 193 g and is 7.4 mm thick.
Samsung specifies an Exynos 2500 processor built on a 3 nm process.
The rear camera system includes:
- 50 MP wide camera with optical image stabilisation;
- 12 MP ultra-wide camera;
- 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilisation.
The front camera is 12 MP.
One UI 9 from launch
Samsung says the S26 FE is the first model in the Galaxy S26 family to launch with One UI 9.
The company is also positioning the phone around Galaxy AI features and more context-aware software experiences.
Those software capabilities are manufacturer-described features; their practical usefulness and comparative performance need separate testing.
What is established and what is not
Samsung's primary sources establish the phone's design, major specifications and India sale date. They do not yet establish an official India price in the material reviewed here.
