Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 FE in India at ₹79,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. The phone is the first model in the Galaxy S26 lineup to launch with One UI 9 and combines a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, the Exynos 2500 processor, a 4,900mAh battery and a triple rear-camera system.
The Galaxy S26 FE is available in Pistachio, Blueberry and Graphite. Samsung has also announced exchange, EMI and bank-card offers, although customers can choose only one of the listed options.
Camera and Galaxy AI features
The rear camera system includes a 50MP wide camera with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and optical image stabilisation. The phone also has a 12MP front camera.
Samsung is bringing its My FanCam feature to the Galaxy FE series. It allows users to select a person in a video and automatically keep that person centred as they move. The system reframes the footage, reducing the need for manual editing when preparing videos for social platforms.
Super Steady with Horizontal Lock is designed to produce smoother, more level video when recording while moving. Samsung also includes its Nightography features for low-light photography and Photo Assist, which lets users refine images using natural-language prompts.
The phone supports Gemini Omni, which can use photos and videos from the Gallery to create and edit video clips. Eligible users receive a six-month Google AI Pro trial with expanded AI capabilities and 5TB of cloud storage. Trial availability depends on regional restrictions, device registration and Google’s eligibility criteria.
Galaxy S26 FE runs One UI 9 on Android 17. Its updated Now Brief provides customisable briefing cards, weather updates and wellness insights. Users can create their own cards with a prompt, while contextual suggestions are extended across selected third-party apps and notifications through features including Nudge. Circle to Search with Google can also search for multiple items at once.
Display, performance and battery
The phone has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 60Hz or 120Hz refresh-rate option and up to 1,900 nits of brightness. A higher refresh rate can make supported scrolling, animations and games appear smoother, while peak brightness is specified for particular display settings and content.
Samsung uses its Exynos 2500 processor, built on a 3nm process. The Galaxy S26 FE supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi Direct. It measures 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mm, weighs 193g and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Samsung’s rating is based on laboratory submersion in up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
The 4,900mAh battery figure is a typical capacity measured under third-party laboratory conditions; the rated minimum capacity is 4,755mAh. With a 45W adapter, Samsung says the phone can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes under standard laboratory conditions. It also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
Price, offers and software support
The Galaxy S26 FE’s Indian price is ₹79,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. Buyers can choose an upgrade bonus of up to ₹8,000 when exchanging an old device, up to 30 months of no-cost EMI with select NBFC partners plus an additional ₹3,000 upgrade bonus, or ₹7,000 cashback on major bank cards. The bank-card option can instead be used as a 12-month no-cost bank EMI. Samsung’s eStore also offers an 18-month bank EMI option.
Samsung says the Galaxy S26 FE will receive up to seven generations of operating-system upgrades and seven years of security updates from the global launch date. The phone also supports an upgraded Smart Switch process that can wirelessly transfer data from Android or iOS using a QR code, including passwords, passkeys, call history, accessibility settings and eSIM data.
AI features depend on software updates, regional rollout and carrier approvals, so individual capabilities may become available at different times. Samsung also notes that pricing, specifications, offers and availability may change.
