Samsung has announced Indian prices and availability for its Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ tablets, with sales due to begin on October 7. The Ultra starts at INR 1,49,999 and the S12+ at INR 1,29,999. Samsung is also introducing its Galaxy Forever financing and upgrade programme for Galaxy tablets for the first time.
Displays, processor and battery
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2960 × 1848 pixels, while the S12+ has a 12.6-inch panel at 2800 × 1752. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1600 nits peak brightness. Samsung says Vision Booster adjusts brightness in real time for different lighting conditions.
Both models use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and come with 12GB of RAM. Samsung says the processor’s NPU performance is 61% faster, CPU performance 19% faster and GPU performance 17% higher than in the predecessor. The company lists batteries of 11,600mAh in the Ultra and 10,600mAh in the S12+, with 45W charging. Its estimates of up to 23 hours of battery life for the Ultra and 21 hours for the S12+ are based on ideal laboratory conditions.
The tablets run Android 17 with One UI 9 and support up to seven OS upgrades and security updates, according to Samsung. Both include an S Pen and have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Samsung describes the devices as 5.1mm and 5.3mm thick respectively. The Ultra also supports Wi-Fi 7; the S12+ supports Wi-Fi 6E.
Indian prices and Galaxy Forever

Samsung says the tablets will be sold through its stores, Samsung.com, partner stores and other online platforms. The Pro Keyboard Cover is priced at INR 27,999 for the Ultra and INR 26,499 for the S12+.
Galaxy Forever is available through Samsung Finance+ at Samsung Exclusive stores and Samsung.com. Samsung lists a programme fee of INR 12,499. Under the two-year programme, customers pay 75% of the device price plus that fee across 24 EMIs. The company says customers can return or upgrade their device for an assured buyback value of 40% in months 11–13, or 25% in months 14–24. The package includes up to two years of Samsung Care+ protection against accidental and liquid damage, with no claim processing fees; terms and conditions apply.
Samsung also lists up to INR 5,000 in bank cashback and an upgrade bonus, as well as discounts for eligible tablet-and-phone, wearable-and-tablet, and keyboard-cover purchases. The announced benefits are subject to conditions: Samsung says offers are mutually exclusive and cannot be combined.
