Study identifies two amyloid-beta intermediates in Alzheimer’s models and brain tissue
A bioRxiv preprint reports two functionally distinct amyloid-beta intermediate populations in laboratory, mouse-model and human Alzheimer’s brain material. In mice, pharmacologically suppressing the intermediates reduced plaque burden and astrogliosis and improved cognition.
