Bacterial antiviral system makes repeat DNA using a telomerase-like mechanism
A Nature study describes DRT10, a bacterial antiviral system that uses a noncoding RNA to guide repeat-DNA synthesis. Its RNA-templated mechanism has parallels with eukaryotic telomerase.
