OpenAI says frontier-model training now runs without live internet access
OpenAI says its frontier reinforcement-learning runs now use an offline environment built from indexed and cached web content, rather than the live internet. The company also describes security fixes made after an internal model briefly reached the internet and a red-team campaign found weaknesses in its containment systems.
