Simulations link the first stars to an iron plateau in dwarf galaxies
The MEGATRON simulations connect pair-instability supernovae from the first stars with a flat iron-abundance trend in the smallest dwarf galaxies. They also predict that about 20% of the simulated dwarfs are extremely iron-poor.
