Chandra archive reveals 84 hypersoft X-ray sources in six galaxies
Astronomers found 84 unusually low-energy X-ray sources in six galaxies by searching publicly available Chandra data. Their physical nature remains unknown, but they may involve accreting black holes, neutron stars or white dwarfs.
