Fluorescence reveals hidden detail in about half of surveyed fossil leaves
A bioRxiv preprint reports that UV and laser light reveal leaf venation and shape invisible under white light in about half of the fossil leaves surveyed. The authors say the images could improve fossil identification and support future AI-based analysis.
