Preprint reports natural enzymes for a key FDCA production step
A bioRxiv preprint describes four rounds of computational screening that identified natural hydroxymethylfurfural oxidases with improved activity on a key FDCA-production reaction. Some candidates approached an engineered benchmark under the tested conditions.
